Role model

Yesterday we made a list of our 3 role models. One from the local community, one from family or friends and one from international. I chose Alex (my bball coach) Harry (My poppy) and Cara ( the girl out of paper towns). Then we had to write the top ten qualities of that person. Then  we did out of all the class the top 5 and they were: Brave, Respectful, Inspiring, Humorous and Loyal. Then you had to write how you represent them. I am brave by saying things that no one would normally say. I am respectful because I ask if I could do something I dont just go on and do it. I am inspiring because I am good at sport and have been in heaps of inter school sports. I am humourus because everybody says I am the definition of funny. Finally I am loyal because I stick with my friends. I thought thus was fun because it shows that everyone is not perfect.

Oaks day fashion

Today was Oaks day and we had to dress up in our best clothes. We had to pick a partner to describe how they look and I had Tahlia and this is what I wrote:

As the beautiful Tahlia walks down the catwalk with her wonderful black silk bow with two fine gorgeous feathers. As we look down we see her delightful scarf that she had unfolded for a charming shawl. Further down we see a magnificent silver bracelet that just complements the outfit and what we see here is one of the most appealing turquoise pleated dress you have ever seen,  that just goes down to her knees.  Further down we see outstanding black shoes with a bow to make it look even more lovely.

While we read this out to the class the person we described had to walk down a catwalk. Then the class had to vote on who the best 3 girls were and who the best 3 boys were, and I was one of the girls( only because I walked really funny) but sadly Tahila didnt get picked but I thought she did really well. Then there was a next level( as I call it) and we had to walk down the cat walk with the year 4s and all the other year 6s. Sam from 6B won, but they called out the descriptive script(Jamie) the style(Hunter) the individual finess(Toby) and the WOW factor(me). I thought this was really fun.

R1 deliberate practice

For the past 5 weeks we have been doing a maths sheet with math problems there are 50 problems on the sheet and all of 6A have to get over the score 40. Then we have to record the scores in our book and then we worked out the average.

I think I did alright because every time I got over 40 and my average was over 40. My score on the revision sheet was 47 and I thought that was pretty good.

My goal- My goal is to get 42 on my new sheet, I am going to achive this by reading over the question more.

Me In A Minute

A couple of weeks ago we did this thing called Me in a minute . What you have to do is exercises or activities  and you have to do as many as you can in a minute. We have already done it once and there is a picture below of what I got. Then we had to write a goal on 3 of the activitys or exercises we wanted to work on, this has been the first trial we have done.

My 3 goals are:

basketballs in the hoop- Average was 4 I got 4 I am hoping to get 5

bounce the ball on racket- Average 93 I got 152 I am hoping  to get 170

star jumps- Average 78 I got 89 I am hoping to get 100

My favourite activerty was train track jumps

Russia!!

For 5 weeks me and my partner Jamie have been working on a Inquiry project. We chose Russia because all the other ones we wanted were taken. What we had to do was we had to make a big slideshow and on that slideshow it was all the things about Russia.

While we were presenting all the people in the class were writing about how we were going. I feel like most of them helped and some of the didn’t. After all the reading we made blinis which are basically really thin pancakes and I thought that took so long it took us after the bell went.

When we were making the slideshow Jamie did most of the work because I got really distracted, while making the babushka dolls it was very hard to get the shape but we had the help of my uncle who got the perfect shape. The blini pancakes it took so long, so long we should have pre made them, then made only one.

I thought that Jamie and I worked really well together but I feel like Jamie did all the work. Like she did most of the slides.

The biggest influence Jamie and I thought was clothing because you see Russian clothing quite often when you go around Melbourne.
Yellow hat:
-We worked well together
-We did all the work we needed to do
-We got good feedback

Green hat:
-Prepare a face for the babushka
-Have more playdoh prepared

Black hat:
-We didn’t have a good face
-It took forever to dry to do another coat of paint
